![]() ![]() So far with Diablo Immortal I haven’t paid anything except for the battle pass. With the time and money that goes into these amazing games is it not fair for us to pay a higher price? What’s better, paying a realistic price like $150 for a great game or getting a game for less that requires additional money to play. Rockstar would cease to exist had they not made it pay to win. ![]() Like GTA5 they made it online as well as single player. It cost an estimated 550 million to make. Even after all this time they continue to support and update. That is almost 81 million in todays dollars. Diablo 3 cost 63 million to make which at the time was a record. Pay to win has become the standard because these companies can actually turn a decent profit from it. We felt like for $60 we should get the full game even though the cost of making the game far exceeded the base price. DLC became extra to help combat costs yet not everybody bought into it. To combat the neck beards they decided to release “limited editions” or special additions with more content. The costs of these games is well within the millions yet they never bumped the price. Even though these games require more people than ever before to work on them. We have no seen an increase since that time. Microsoft and Sony had the audacity to up their games to $59.99, $88 adjusted for inflation. In 2005 the neck beards went bat shit crazy. In 2003 Xbox games were $49.99, adjusted for inflation $78. In 2000 PlayStation games were $39.99, adjusted for inflation $67. In 1988 my parents bought me donkey Kong for $29.99, adjusted for inflation that is $73. I am old enough to remember buying donkey Kong on Atari so I have some real life experience. The people that complain about the cost of games are what ruined it all. This may not be a popular opinion but I’m sick of seeing people complain. ![]()
